I am enjoying using Decloner after having bought it in the recent MU promo.
There is one thing I think it really needs: the option to choose a dominant folder. Let's say you are scanning two hard drives that you have been using a lot and there are copies of files of various ages that are spread randomly between them. At the moment Decloner asks you which duplicate you want to eliminate based purely on age. This means you can end up with folders on each disk that have half the files in them and you have to hunt them down and copy them across to reassemble the complete folder. If you could specify a dominant location in the scanning list it would save a lot of work.
It would also be useful to have the option to delete orphaned folders that have become empty because of duplicate removal.

Those are great suggestions, and I already have them in my to-do list. Thank you.

Me too buyed it with the recent MU promo.
Great app but... Could you add the scanning for documents inside the iPhoto library matching between them and some photos outside?
I mean: I think I've got some photos inside iPhoto Library and in other folders, I'm not sure that Decloner can reveal it, actually.
Another suggestion: it should be cool if I can choose a folder to scan and mark some folders not to scan inside it; so I can choose my personal library excluding some folders inside it.
    Thanks!

I would like to second the request to be able to do a deep/recursive filter based upon folder name. The documentation for excluding files from the scan says that you can add folder names as well as files, but it seems that the exclusion only works for files in that exact folder. I want to be able to exclude "/Users/theo/Library" so that email attachments, etc. (which are down in /Users/theo/Library/Mail/V2/...) and everything in Application Support gets skipped. Unfortunately, this missing feature prevented me from pressing the "purchase" button because the majority of my detected duplicates were in these folders.

I have been looking for an app like this for a long time. Please add this, and I will be the first one in line to pick up a copy.

    Thanks!
